Investment

The Partnership Fund’s investment supports GMDC’s Brownsville, Brooklyn project, the first development in New York City that includes both affordable housing and light manufacturing in the same facility. The Fund has financed four of GMDC’s other renovations of industrial buildings in Brooklyn and Queens, bringing dozens of needed permanent manufacturing jobs to the five boroughs.

The Greenpoint Manufacturing and Design Center (GMDC) is the premier nonprofit industrial developer in New York City. Since its inception in 1992, GMDC has rehabilitated seven manufacturing buildings for occupancy by small manufacturing enterprises, artisans and artists.
